Refund Policy
Effective May 10, 2026
All sales are final. Lake Intel does not offer refunds on lake unlocks, subscriptions, or any other digital purchase, except in the limited circumstances described below.
Why We Don't Offer Refunds
Lake Intel provides immediate access to digital content — sonar imagery, waypoints, and structure data — at the moment you complete a purchase. Once you have accessed the content, the service has been delivered in full. For this reason, and to keep our prices low, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, fishing results, weather conditions, or any other reason within your control.
Limited Exceptions
We will issue a refund in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate charges — If you were billed twice for the same purchase, we will refund the duplicate within 5 business days of confirming the error.
- Unauthorized charges — If your account was charged without your authorization (e.g., as a result of fraud), contact us and your bank immediately. We will cooperate with any investigation.
- Service unavailable — If we permanently discontinue access to a lake or feature you paid for within 30 days of your purchase, we will issue a prorated refund.
- Required by law — Where applicable consumer-protection law requires us to issue a refund (e.g., certain EU and Australian consumer laws), we will comply with those requirements.
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for a refund under one of the exceptions above, email support@lakeintel.fish with:
- The email address on your Lake Intel account
- The date of the charge
- The amount and last 4 digits of the card charged (if known)
- A brief description of why you believe a refund is warranted
We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank without first contacting us, we may suspend your Lake Intel account pending investigation. Please email us first — we will work with you to resolve any billing concern.
